1996 - Concentration on Java
GFT gets ready early for the multimedia and Internet boom, and recognizes the importance of the Java development language: In Dublin (Ireland) a subsidiary is founded as the Java Competence Centre. GFT conceives, creates and operates "St. Georgen Online" as one of the first German city nets. Blue paper doll mannequins become the marketing-oriented company's identifying mark.
1993 - Start of a partnership with Deutsche Post
The Deutsche Bundespost grants GFT a large contract for GRIT and for the development of a production, planning and control system (PPC). This marked the beginning of an unusually fruitful partnership for both parties.
1992 - The idea of the "Green Card" isn't new for GFT: Eight Indian software experts from Bangalore support the company in system development in the Black Forest for several months.
