St. Georgen / Berlin, 29 August 2005 – GFT Media, the specialist unit for online communication, marketing and design of GFT Technologies AG (GFT), one of Europe’s leading providers for IT services, software and outsourcing, has implemented the relaunch of Mercedes-Benz Germany’s Internet presence for the direct sale of used vehicles. The new website (http://gebrauchtfahrzeug.direktvertrieb.mercedes-benz.de) has been completely reworked, and expanded in places, in accordance with the international Mercedes-Benz style guide. The focus of activities was primarily to provide added value for customers.


GFT Media has implemented the relaunch of the Mercedes-Benz used vehicles portal under contract of the DaimlerChrysler Sales Organisation Germany (DCVD). Earlier this year, GFT’s creative branch was also responsible for the relaunch of Mercedes-Benz’s entire Internet presence for the German market within the framework of the global portal consolidation.

The online shop for recent used vehicles now has a fresh new appearance and features an optimised online purchasing process. In addition, GFT has adapted the existing shop to the new style guide and expanded it with the addition of new, attractive functions. The individual steps in the “order” and “payment” processes have been restructured in an even more user-friendly manner, and the entire transaction and information process has been arranged so that it is more service-orientated and provides an even better overview of transactions. Visitors to the online shop can find their desired information at a glance. In the event of questions relating to the vehicles, customers can now contact their personal sales adviser directly for each model offered in the range. Another new feature is the integration of regular sales-promoting measures in the category “special promotions“. This means that, for example, everyone who buys a Mercedes-Benz cabriolet online in the time period from 24.08.2005 to 31.10.2005 will receive a fuel voucher worth 200 Euro.

In particular, GFT Media was responsible for the design and production of the specifications, as well as design, editing, HTML programming and Web front end.
