GFT Brazil founded
St. Georgen, 22 November 2005 – GFT Technologies AG, one of the leading European providers of innovative IT solutions, has signed a business cooperation with CPM, Brazil’s leading IT integrator, to take over responsibility for the entire systems architecture and design of further functions for one of the largest private Brazilian Banks. In the course of this business cooperation, GFT is opening a first branch in South America, based in São Paulo, Brazil.

November 2005 – GFT Technologies AG, one of the leading European providers of innovative IT solutions, has signed a business cooperation with CPM, Brazil’s leading IT integrator, to take over responsibility for the entire systems architecture and design of further functions for one of the largest private Brazilian Banks. In the course of this business cooperation, GFT is opening a first branch in South America, based in São Paulo, Brazil.
As part of the renewal of the bank’s core banking platform, GFT has signed a business cooperation with an extensive project volume under the terms of a strategic alliance with CPM. GFT’s role will be to oversee, with CPM, the entire migration of all IT applications to a new, multi-channel architecture. The focus of the project will be to develop the architecture and provide IT-related consulting for the design of further functions. The general contractor for the project is the leading Brazilian IT integrator CPM.
The renewal of the core banking platform will primarily help the Customer to improve its leadership position in the Brazilian market and, thanks to the comprehensive expansion of functions, will also make it more flexible while boosting the stability of the overall system. The pre-launch time for the introduction of new products will be shortened considerably – a significant competitive advantage that will give the Customer a head start on the market in future.
To ensure the smooth running of the project and superlative quality of the results on this complex undertaking, GFT is insisting on maximum closeness to the customer and partner (CPM). To facilitate this, the company is founding GFT Brazil, a subsidiary based in São Paulo. This move will also step up GFT’s presence in Latin America. Over the next two years, up to 150 GFT employees in Brazil and Spain will be collaborating on the implementation of this major project for the bank in Brazil.
